							| Hi, there!
Could anyone help me with the following question?
In the sentence "Often bullies disguise their numbers...", what would say the word their refers to?
My first answer would be bullies alone, but some of my students answered  the bullies numbers and I think it also makes sense, but I m not sure.
 Thanks! | 2 Jun 2013

							| Their refers to the bullies. They posess the numbers. Their , they , them , etc .... always refer to something previously mentioned.

							| Glad to read from you, Zora! That s what I thought in the first place (and for the past 13 years), but these kids are very bright and sometimes leave me wondering. Many, many thanks!   | 2 Jun 2013
