							| English for making phonecalls
 |
							| Hello
Currently I m working on some worksheets devoted to telephone English. I am not sure if the phrase listen to a voice mail is correct? Could any native speaker help me in this respect ?I ve come across listen a voice mail but it seems to me unlikely to use listen without to. THX a milion for your kind reply. | 13 Jul 2013

							| Yes, its correct   We are going to listen to voice mail OR we are going to listen to voicemail messages   We are going to listen to a voice mail OR we are going to listen to a voice mail message   When voicemail was a new concept, listen to a voice mail was not correct, it needed message on it just like wed say listen to an answering machine message. But these days, it is perfectly acceptable to say that.   Listen a voicemail is incorrect   Cheers   Jayho   | 13 Jul 2013
