							| Sometimes, people use "teddy" or "teddy bear", even if it is not a bear but stuffed animal is the more general term and what I would use for stuffed toys that are not bears. | 29 Jan 2009

							| The peluches as you say in Spanish Based on the material theyre made of;  in Mxico we call the fur felt or plush  toys, so if its a rabbit or bear or whatever animal, I would say the animals name and the fur: eg. felt bunny, felt cat, felt dog, etc, but also the Oxford Dictionary mentions as a cuddly toy. | 29 Jan 2009

							| Im English and we would usually say a cuddly toy. A cuddly toy is anything made of a soft a material and therefore it is cuddly.  You could use stuffed animal, we would all know what you meant but it isnt very english.
 Hope that helps.
