							| how to say ´auxiliar de acção educativa´ or ´funcionário´
 |
							| Hello everyone!   Ive got a doubt. Could anyone please tell me how you say auxiliar de aco educativa or funcionrio (school) in English?  Auxiliar de aco educativa is a person who cleans classrooms, and looks after the school  buildings. He/ she is not a teacher but acommon employee.     thanks     Aura | 30 Jan 2009

							| Yes... Janitor is correct. I also use this word, which I learnt when I was in London. | 30 Jan 2009

							| I worked in the USA  and I think the word custodian is also appropriate for "funcionrio", especially those who have other tasks rather as cleaning. (these are the above mentioned janitors) It seems you got here a good list even for other teachers - custodian, caretaker and janitor Cool!! | 30 Jan 2009
