Dear teachers, I really need your help. I found this sentence in the book I use to teach.However the book says it is wrong, for me it is right. Can you help me? Thanks in advance!
George is 45 kg Luciana is 47 kg
George weights 2 kg less than Luciana.

It should be "George weighs (no "t") 2 kg less than Luciana." Bruce |

weigh is a verb
weight is the noun

Or: George �s weight is 2kg less than Luciana �s (to preserve the noun form). I agree with all those above, though - use of the verb "weighs" gives us the most natural way (ha!) of phrasing the sentence. |

Yes, it should be weighs. Can I just point out, though, that weight can be a verb too (statistics, horses, cars, fishing lines etc). But not here obviously...
