funny it is called "celebration", I thought we only celebrate good things and am surprised assassinations fall in that category..I would think it would be called "memorial days" or something like that... |

It must have been lost in translation. In German the word "Feier" translates to celebration, but it is used for both happy and sad "celebrations".
I think this trend is moving into English too-- these days, you often hear funerals referred to as a "celebration of life".
