							| time expressions
 |
							| Could I have your opinions, please?
Hello:)
When there are two time expressions in the same sentence which should be the order, i.e., should we say:
I go swimming at 3 on Mondays.
or
I go swimming on Mondays at 3?
Thank you so much.

							| That was my idea as I think that was what I learned at school but I saw the other sentence in a course book.
Thank you so much. | 25 Jan 2014

							| It should have been at 3.00 on Mondays. The rule says that the most detailed information goes first and then the rest. | 25 Jan 2014

							| To me  (UK native speaker), "on Mondays at three" sounds very natural. I think it depends whether the speaker already knows that Monday is part of the information or not. Do you want to have coffee on Monday? - No, sorry, I go swimming at three on Mondays. Do you swim regularly? - Yes, I do. I swim on Mondays at three. | 27 Jan 2014
