							| a heart-to-heart conversation
 |
							| Dear friends, Good afternoon!   I was preparing my lesson, and in the book there is the following task:   What kind of conversation have you had recentely? a) a heart-to-heart with a friend   (this is one of the options)   What is the meaning of the part in bold? I imagine something, just want to be sure as I am not a native.   Thank you in advance!   | 30 Jan 2014

							| A heart-to-heart talk is one where both parties share sensitive information about themselves and tell the truth. The two each share what is in their hearts with each other. Unlike so many English idioms, this one actually makes some sense. | 30 Jan 2014
