							| On-line newspaper for Business English class
 |
							| I have just been given the dubious honour of creating an on-line newspaper with my Business English class. I really don t know where to start so I m hoping for ideas, please. The idea is that I divide the class into editors, journalists, photographers, etc whose job it is to collect ads, articles and photos and then organise the publishing. As the students are adults they have many skills but unfortunately many are straight from university and so don t have much job experience). I m unsure how to go about it...logistically I can t have the editors working until the sales and marketing and journalists have done their tasks so I have to keep them busy while the others work.
I was hoping there was some sort of template we could use.The boss wants it linked into facebook for maximum impact.
Please can anyone point me in the direction of some articles, templates, IT advice, whatever? Thanks Joy | 5 Mar 2014

							| Have a look at madmagz.com - I think the free magazine templates would be a great start/dry run. You can get a free low res pdf & you can link the magazine to a website.
Id define writing & publishing roles & then get mind mapping a management/organisation structure as a group.
Also mind map what they believe an online paper should be, content & structure wise.
Then let them divvy up the roles, with you retaining the role of editor in chief.
Rotate the roles between your students with each edition you produce.

And last but not least ... make sure you send us a link!
Id love to be doing this with some students :)

 Cheers,
AB

Edit: Ill check for some user friendly templates for you tonight/tomorrow
