							| Hi all,  Pliz, what does "ground steak" mean in this context?

The hamburger got its name from the German town named Hamburg. Hamburg was known for its ground steak. In the early 19th century German immigrants to the United States introduced the hamburger steak. Hamburger steaks were served on buns for the first time in 1904 at the St. Louis Worlds Fair.
