1.Children wanted to see some more cartoons. 2.Let �s buy some nice apples. 3.Can I have some water? Iam very thirsty. 4.He seldom gives his son some money. 5.Would you like some more grapes? |

I�ve thought we can use some in questions when we�re kindly offering some food and/or drink? E.g. Would you lke some coffee/bread? - Yes, please.

Oto,
You can use some in questions (e.g. #5); in this case seldom makes a negative so we need "any" (as already stated) and it is not a question.

Thanks Douglas, early in the morning I qucikly looked at the number of the sentence and I thought Lynne was reffering to the sentence number 5.  Sorry Lynne and everybody for my fruitless comment. I absolutly agree with "any money", of course.
