As soon as the employees saw the boss coming into (the office?), they stopped smoking. A better sentence would be, �The minute the employees spotted the boss, they stopped smoking. �
They wouldn �t have stopped until they saw the boss, but they shouldn �t have even started on that disgusting and self-destructive behaviour. |

The preposition "into" at the end of your sentence needs an object. Example: The employees stopped smoking as soon as they had seen the boss coming into the office." Add a place that the boss is coming into, and it �s fine. |
