							| question about a word for secretary
 |
							| Hi everyone,
one of my students asked me if there is a good colloquial word for secretary in the sense of "he/she fights off unnecessary contact requests, so the boss doesn t get swamped" in German we call this "Vorzimmerlwe" something like "outer office lion".
Are there colloquial words for secretary? I don t mean to offend anyone, this is meant as a fun little question on the side.

 Thanks for your help

							| Moin Sunshine!   all that comes to mind for me is giving them some kind of "high ranking" or "strict" title:   "First you ll have to get past the General."   "First you ll have to get past the Dragon Lady."   BTW: Words like Vorzimmerlwe are what i love about German :)   Cheers, Douglas   | 11 Nov 2014
