Which one is correct grammatically?
Q: What �s your favorite fruit?
A: -My favorite fruit is the grapes.
- My favorite fruit is the grape.
- My favorite fruit is a grape. |

The best answer is "My favorite fruit is grapes." Since that isn �t there, I �ll go with "the grape". The other two are definitely wrong. Bruce |

because you are talking about grapes in general; "the" refers to some specific grapes (e.g. the grapes that my grandfather grows) |
