The little cards that students exchange with eachother are called valentines (no card). Children make home made valentines and some teachers have the children make them in class. Adults purchase Valentine īs Day cards. The expressions Valentine īs card or Valentine card are understandable, and maybe they are correct somewhere in the English speaking world, too. |

I would say that the purchased cards are called either valentines or Valentine īs Day cards. On the rack it will say Valentine īs Day Cards, but I see that as only the "official" designation. If I bought one for my sweetie, I might still call it a valentine. Bruce |
