Hello everybody!
I have known this test for a long time (I must confess that at the time I failed it successfully!), but I came across it the other day. I gave it to one of my private students and he took it home, to see if his parents could solve it. To his surprise, his mother had the best result. "She doesn �t know any English", he said. "she just read the letters." Could this be true?
Here it is:
COUNT HOW MANY F ARE IN THE FOLLOWING SENTENCE:
FINISHED FILES ARE THE RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC STUDY COMBINED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS.
Most people count only three, but the truth is that there are ... six! The brain is supposed not to understand the word OF. So those of you who guess the correct result are said to be very clever.
