from what I remember from my childhood it was grandpa pulling the turnip, then grandma pulling him, granddaughter pulling her, then dog, cat and a mouse. Maybe you �ve heard a different version.

In Israel it �s Eliezer and a "gezzer �=carrot! I guess the turnip turned into a carrot for the rhyme... but it �s the same --grandparents, dog, cat, mouse! Then they grate the carrote into a big salad and all the neighbors join in! |
