							| Surprised by or with the room
 |
							| Hi,
Hope you can help me with something.I m marking some exams and I have a stupid doubt. Which one is correct, I was surprised by the room? Or, I was surprised with the room?
Thanks | 14 Jan 2016

							| Well Akanah, I think either of those is OK -  and I would add that surprised at is also acceptable if you are discussing the state of the room. You will also see surprised about . Surprised with is not really so common; it s not wrong, but I would go for one of the others.      | 14 Jan 2016
