							| Hi everybody! I need some help with this sentence. I´m not sure if it´s OK :    "You´re an independent student who thinks things through for yourself."   Thanks a lot!  | 6 Jun 2016

							| I would just say "You re an independent student who thinks things through". I think the "for yourself" sounds a bit strange, maybe because it s a bit redundant. | 7 Jun 2016

							| It sounds fine to me. You could also change the second half to "who can work things out yourself" if you would like.  | 7 Jun 2016

							| Two good suggestions. I agree with Stephen that "for yourself" isn t necessary with "thinks things through", since you wouldn t think things through for other people. That s why I hate the expression "I thought to myself", because who else would you think to?   Bruce  | 7 Jun 2016
