Hello! I need your help. Is it ok to use "eat out" in such an example? "I eat out salmon because I don �t like to cook it at home". Thanks) |

I think �eat out � means eating in restaurant when you don �t eat at home. For example, today we don �t have any food left, so we will eat out ( eat in restaurant). |

You can say "I eat salmon out because I don �t like to cook it at home", although that isn �t the most common way of saying it, but the direct object must come before "out". Bruce |

DeanNguyen, life line and Bruce are right. A normal utterance would be, �I do have/order salmon when I eat out, but I don �t like to cook/cooking it at home. � �I eat salmon out �....Mmm, I prefer, �I have salmon when I eat out. � |

I would say: I have salmon when I eat out because .... When I eat out I have salmon because ... |

I usually eat smoked salmon out, because it �s impossible to make at home. ** I went out to eat. I had smoked salmon. It was great. ** Do you want to go out to eat? Sure! Can we get salmon? ** I usually eat out on Friday, because I �m tired after a long week at work. ** I usually eat salmon out because cooking it at home makes my kitchen smell so bad. Does this help?
