							| Hi everyone!!! Good beginning o the week for all of you!!! I work as a tutor teacher. I teach adults. I have a student who is a lawyer. Last week we were taking about crime and he asked me what s the difference between theft and robbery? He says that a as a lawyer he understand that robbery implies taking someone s possession with some violent action while theft is just taking away someone s possesion.  What s the difference in English? Could you please help me out? Thank you in advance!!! Regards!!!                                       Jess  | 3 Apr 2017

							| This explains it nicely. In essence, robbery is one kind of theft.   Theft is taking something that belongs to someone else.   Robbery, which is more specific, is taking something directly from the other person, usually by threatening the victim.    Bruce  | 3 Apr 2017
