You could use famous buildings - the Eiffel Tower, the Empire State Building, the Great Pyramid at Giza, the school where you teach, the Kremlin ...

You could also use species or geographical features if you want to use really big numbers. Is the Earth 2 billion years old? Is humanity 10000 years old? Is Kilimanjaro 3 million years old?
