Complex grammar can be so confusing to a NS with my limited schooling in grammar (in my time, nothing taught beyond parts of speech) - we just know what sounds right to the ear I found this link. Could 1D also be explained as this? |

Thanks for the link, Jayho, there are at least two examples there which illustrate a situation similar to 1 D - �written � �.

And it has some nice info, also, e.g. about �dangling participles�, which is a common error, I guess.
