							| A highway is a main road but not a freeway (not an autobahn)- Usually 2 lanes and long. Like Route 66 in the States is a long highway that goes through many states.

An avenue is often in town or in the suburbs.
A road is often in the countryside.
A square is in the middle of town with buildings all around, shaped like a square.
 (or plaza)

 Hope this helps.

							| I lived on Riverton Ave and it wasn t a big avenue at all! Avenues in the suburbs are smaller, but larger in bigger cities, but not quite as big a boulevards!
