							| Kohai is right, but I would like to add something.   It is correct to say "They won �t stop playing until it rains" if it is known, or very certain, that it is going to rain. Since the original sentence doesn �t imply any certainty of rain, this wouldn �t correctly transform that sentence.   Bruce  |  3 Dec 2017

							| tommy, if you have to choose the phrase nearest in meaning to your initial one, then unless is correct. However, as Bruce points out, the other phrase is perfectly good English; it just means something slightly different. |  3 Dec 2017
