Your native language is the one you were born into; the one you will learn first, and we normally say first language or mother tongue. A national language - also called �official language� and there may be more than one - can be another language, other than your first language, that is spoken in your native country. For example, a person born in certain areas of Pakistan will have Punjabi as their mother tongue or native language whilst Urdu is a national/official language that they may or may not speak. Normally, unless you are wanting to make a distinction along lines like that, you would say that English is her first/native language or English is her mother tongue.
