							| Please help

							| Dear teachers, I have a question and I would really appreciate your help.
I am doing participle clauses and among others I discussed contact relative clauses that are actually participle clause when used without relative pronouns. For example:
The painting (which was) stolen from the museum has never been found.
Would it be grammaticaly correct to do the same if the relative clause was non- defining, like for example:
The Sunrise, (which was) stolen last week, was found not far from the museum.
I can t find any rules or explanations and hope you ll help me.
Thank you. | 14 Feb 2018

							| Giorgi, Thanks for finding that discussion.   Zvonka, There s a somewhat literary feel to "The Sunrise, stolen last week, ..." that makes it a little stilted for everyday use, but it is grammatically correct.   Bruce  | 14 Feb 2018
