Internet, as we know it, is in danger

Dear friends,

The internet that made possible websites like ESLprintables is in danger.

The European Parliament is about to vote a new Copyright law. If it is approved, every website which publishes content uploaded by users would have to add an automatic filter to avoid copyrighted content.

The problem is that this filter would be too difficult and expensive for small websites like ESLprintables. This law would be a long step back for the free and open internet that we know. Only the biggest companies could afford a filter like this. The consecuence would be the concentration of internet content in a small number of large platforms. This is a serious threat for freedom of expression and privacy.

Please, if you are a citizen in the EU, go to this website and send an email or tweet to your representatives in the European Parliament. Ask them not to approve this law which could be the end of websites like ESLprintables:
