							| I would stick to the past simple here.  �What did you wear yesterday? � If you said to someone,  �What were you wearing yesterday? � and there was no follow-up, as in:  �What were you wearing yesterday when the skies opened? � it would mean you were wearing something really unusual.   �OMG, what were you wearing yesterday?!!!! �   |  6 Oct 2018

							| I agree with Lynne that the past continuous would be used when there is reference to another activity/event that happened while she was wearing that.
