							| Help needed with a story
 |
							| I am trying to find out the name of the original short story we have in our text book under the name "apple pie" It is about a woman who wants to make an apple pie, but has no apples and no money to buy them. So she milks her cow and goes to the market to exchange the milk for apples. On her way she meets different people and each time she exchanges things until she finally gets the apples she wanted. Maybe the story was written for the textbook, but all the other stories in it are adapted from  famous stories as Hansel and Gretel, the Musicians from Bremen etc. Thanks for your time and help. | This story might be based on Hans im Glck by Brothers Grimm. Here you can find the German story and several translations:

							| It is also a little similar to How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World by Marjorie Priceman (ISBN: 978-0-679-88083-7)     "...students listen to a story about a little girl who wants to make an apple pie. When she finds the market closed, she travels around the world gathering natural resources to make the pie."  | 5 Jan 2019
