							| Doubt about temperature
 |
							| Is it ok to say:   "I got -17ºC in Vermont."   or   "I caught -17ºC in Vermont"
Does it sound ok? If not, how could it be expressed?
   Thanks in advance.  | 7 Jun 2019

							| I would say, "It was -17 degrees Celcius in Vermont."   In some contexts one could say, "I got -17 degrees," for example as the answer to a test question in science.    Caught does not work.  | 7 Jun 2019

							| If you are talking with a friend from another part of the world, you might say, “I had -17ºC in Vermont,” in response to “What temperature did you have?” | 11 Jun 2019
