							| Use of Whatever
 |
							| Good day fellow teachers,
 1. He is good at whatever he does.
 2. You can choose whatever you like.
Sentence 1 is mentioned in Collins online dictionary as an example of using whatever as a conjunction.
sentence 2 is mentioned in Macmillan online dictionary as an example of using whatever as a relative pronoun. I am confused as I still see the two sentences as two examples of using whatever as a relative pronoun not a conjunction. Could you clarify that for me please? | 3 Sep 2020

							| I agree with you. "Whatever he does" is the object of the preposition "at", and "whatever you like" is the direct object of "choose", so theres no conjunction involved.   Bruce  | 4 Sep 2020
