							| 1. It is nuanced, but write down is more like an instruction. It is what teachers say most usually. Write this down = take notes. Write is just the general verb: what are you doing? I�m writing.  2. I think this depends. Kind can be used in the singular, so I think any combination, depending on the context. What kind of animal is Scooby Doo? What kinds of animal/s eat grass?
