							| My son was was solving a crossword yesterday and asked me this question and I didnt know the answer. The crossword puzzle comes from  https://bogglesworldesl.com/opposite_verbs.htm  and there is no answer key.  This is the screenshot from the site. Thank you in advance,  E.  | 16 Sep 2022

							| Hi TeacherARG,  Nice to see you on ESLP. I guess you didnt do the crossword, did you? IMHO, "bring in" is not the answer.
I did the crossword and I suppose that there is a mistake. Having in mind the letters we get from other words, I could come up only with “put away” which doesn’t sound correct at all.:( | 16 Sep 2022

							| If you take something out of a box, then put it back in is the opposite. If you take something out of, say, a cupboard, or a wardrobe, etc, then afterwards, you put it away. So  put away is the right answer.
Edit: an example from school: take your books out, put your books away.

							| @ TeacherARG, Of course, you have been on ESLP for some years, the same as on Liveworksheets! Just the latter has benefited from your presence far more.
P.S. "Bring in" also has got 7 letters, hasnt it? | 17 Sep 2022

							| Yes, and bring in is certainly a valid opposite of take out.  I would give some examples but people have probably moved on from this now.     | 17 Sep 2022
