Dear colleagues, Would you please help me with the following two questions? Identify the subject and the verb in the following sentence: After all the hurry and bustle, a week or two at the beach sounded wonderful. Identify the main and the subordinate clauses: From the interview she learned that a marine biologist should have a good education, care about the environment, and enjoy travel. |

Hello , In the first sentence, the subject is "a week or two at the beach " and the verb is "sounded" In the second sentence the main clause is "from the interview she learnt " and the subordinate clause is " a marine biologist should have a good education, care about the environment and enjoy travels" . (I would use travels in the plural or travelling, not just travel). I hope it helps . Murielle |
