							| Dear Teachers, I have a doubt.. Can anybody help me? Is correct to say: My father doesn �t have lunch at home, he DOES  at the office. or I have to say he has lunch  at the office?

 Or No, he doesn �t.

							| Grammatically, you could say, "My father doesn �t have lunch at home, but he does at the office." �But this sounds like your father eats lunch if he is at the office at lunchtime, but not if he is at home. I would say, "My father doesn �t have lunch at home; he eats at the office." |  27 Mar 2009

							| "Does" is the auxilliary verb, "have" is the main verb.  You should use the main verb if you are going to re-include (is this a word?) the details in the answer. Otherwise, you could say "Yes he does." or "No he doesn�t." (the short answer). |  27 Mar 2009
