Hi there! It �s a pleasure to answer such a question. I think the most famous singer in my country is a pop singer named Roberto Carlos. He is considered to be the kind of popular romantic music around here. not for the young ones but for a more mature public. Toshe Proeski was the most popular singer in Macedonia.Unfortunately he died in a car accident in 2007 but although he is not alive he is still the most popular and everybody love his songs.

In Canada, Simple Plan is pretty populare among the kids. Usually, we have the same pop star as the United States.
In French, I �d say that Eric Lapointe is one of the most popular singer. |

Like ladybird said there are different kinds of music but perhaps Mariza is the most popular in singing the " Fado"  and as a group perhaps Xutos e Pontap�s in singing rock music.

In France, I think everybody knows Johnny Halliday, a rock singer (leather jacket, tatoos and harley davidson...) who has been famous since the 60 �s.

 I think Joe Dolan would be my pick for Ireland �s international singer. He died on 26/12/2007 and he was my idol throughout my adolescence.
