							| I think it �s IN THE END= as a conclusion   Eg. In the end, they managed to survive.                 AT THE END= a specific point in time  Eg. At the end of the film everybody cried. |  21 Apr 2009

 We will get their in the end.  suggests a hard slog
 They got their in the end.      suggests a hard slog like saying  �after all they had been through �.
 
 At the end of the day            is a colliquail saying. (to wrap things up - the final result)
 i.e. At the end of the day a good game was played by all and the better team won (good on you fitzy - you made it into ESLs!)
 
 
 The character died at the end of the story.        - suggests time
 The person was standing at the end of the line - suggests place

							| IN THE END also suggests that the outcome had not been expected. eg. ...they fell in love in the end. AT THE END refers to the formal / actual end of anything.
