BEYOND THE GOLDEN RULE

Among the many special people
Very few can sparkle bright
With genuine compassion;
A brilliant soul so full of light.

As a dazzling ray of sunshine
Spreading hope for each new day,
A teacher is the special soul
Who helps those find their way.

For a teacher as a guide
Will point up towards the stars,
Not put them right in hand,
But help young minds take the charge.

For a teacher as a leader
Will seek those under clouds of gray,
And bring the gift of knowledge
To push the darkened skies away

For a teacher as a person
Holds the power deep inside,
To inspire and instil
Another�s growing sense of pride.

Fortunate are those
Who find this spirit, kind, and true
With the will to make a difference;�
The teacher here is you.
