							| I ll copy one of my posts some time ago ..."You could show this video to your
SS to introduce the topic, or to just get them going in preparing their
speeches in which they could use some irony, being inspired by the
video. In order to be ironic, the SS will have to be imaginative, and that s what we should encourage in them. Take a look. The video is a part of a "How to destroy the world - RUBBISH" series on Discovery ch.

							| There are two great film: The inconvenient truth and The Earth. The first one refers to statistics in a very educational and clear way and the second focuses on what we are doing to animals. The sound track of the 1st film is "I need to wake up". You can also use the lyrics of it since it s great. My students loved them and they re only 85 min long. Hope it helps... | 10 Jun 2009

							| Well, I don t know if it s going to help you, but there s a song called "it s the end of the world as we know it (and I feel fine)". REM sings it and I think it would be a great soundtrack to your science fair.     This site is very funny and you can download some activities and play some online games there!   I hope you enjoy it!   Cheers! | 10 Jun 2009

							| Here is a poem that might help. http://quotations.about.com/cs/poemlyrics/a/There_Will_Come.htm
It s about how nature reclaims the earth after the destruction. It s actually a short poem. Ray Bradbury also used the title for his short story "There Will Come Soft Rains." There is a lot of information on  the web for both of these. I just don t know what you really need.

 Good Luck,

 Carla
