February 14th in the UK and Spain! Wow - any reason why they celebrate it now in Brazil? I know we celebrate it on Feb 14th because it īs the actual Saint īs day.

Hi, Verybouncyperson. It is celebrated today because it is the eve of Saint Antonio īs Day, the Saint of marriages here in Brazil. Women make wishes for finding a handsome partner.

In Israel, gift shops are full of bears, hearts and roses on Valentine īs Day - 14th February - so it īs celebrated here too!
There is a Jewish "Holiday of Love" too - on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of "Av" - in the summer. It īs called "Chag Haahava" ("ch" like you say "Julio" in Spanish, the two "h" like "Holland") - same Valentine īs Day items...
