							| What is this? (Nearly having a nervous breakdown over this)
 |
							| Hi everyone,
I am a native speaker of english but I cant for the life of me remember the name of this: It is a small, kind of drawing pin that separates at the back so you can turn something on the piece of paper, looks kind of like this: O=. I guess they are most commonly used in the classroom as the center of the paper clocks we use to demonstrate how to tell the time.

It is really annoying me and I cant find them in our school stationary catalogue because I dont know the name.

 Thanks

							| In Australia we call them split pins.  Yep, they re great for making clocks.   To us, butterfly clips is another name for bulldog clips and they are quite different to split pins. | 1 Jul 2009
