I use this story in conjunction with the song �From Little Things...� by Paul Kelly (I have also posted it here) which is based on the strike... It is a good intro to Indigenous Australia and the issues in Australia today... Pre-teach vocab and page 2 has comprehension questions.

From Little Things Big Things Grow - Paul Kelly
I use this song as an intro or end to a lesson on Indigenous Australia. It tells the story of the Gurindji Strike (I have a reading worksheet on that too) and the start of the land rights movement in Australia. And it�s an awesome song too :) I usually pre-teach some vocab - (swag/rations etc)
