This activity has students color in letters of the alphabet using: before, after, first and last. It also has them identify the vowels. You can use the Before, After, First and Last Powerpoint with this. At the end of the ppt student create an acrostic poem using their name.

I have Who has Short and Log I words
Each student has at least one card with a short or long I word. The first student reads "I have whip who has wipe" then the student with wipe says "I have wipe who has hid" and it continues until the last card which says who has whip. The students have to really annunciation the words and listen closely.
