THE STORY OF AN ORANGE
Simple worksheet to make students learn and practice how to write properly. The topic is funny: the story of an orange since the very beginning until it comes to your plate. First, they have to put the ideas in order, and then write a coherent and cohesive story using the linkers provided. It worked very well with my students :)

Basic Level Writing Mistakes
I developed this worksheet after having collected my students a writing about their last holidays. I made a list of their "hit-parade" mistakes, so that all of them could correct their own and their matess mistakes. They found it useful, so now I do it every time a collect a writing. Hope it helps you :)

SPEAKING PRACTICE for A1-A2 students
Similar worksheet to the one I uploaded last week. This time, however, students have the title of the topic they have to talk about for one minute and, just in case they get stuck, I already give them some ideas to talk about. They usually prefer this kind of guided exercises than a free one. It can also be given to them in advance, to prepare th...

EDUCATION at debate: documentary Waiting for Superman
Ive prepared this activity based on the documentary "Waiting for Superman", a 2010 film from director Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth, 2006). The film analyses the failures of the American public education, and even though it received several awards, it also had lots of criticism from commentators, reformers and educators. I included sev...

NEWSPAPER STORY
This is a worksheet I prepared so that students were aware of how important register is. A story is given, and they have to complete the blanks in 4 different ways depending if they want to write a favourable-unfavourable-informal or absurd news. This way, the same situation seeems to be completely different depending on the journalists point of...

Subject - Object pronouns & Possessive adjectives
Since my students confuse quite easily the three of them, I prepared these charts to make the explanation easier. Its funny but colours worked and they started making the right difference straight away :D

Pronounciation and phonetics practice
This worksheet has a series of exercises Ive used with my intermediate students, in order to make them understand the importance of being able to read phonetics and, finally, learn to pronounce correctly. The exercises are written double since, if you print them both sides of a sheet, you can cut the page into two halves and save paper. Ecologica...

SPEAKING REFERENCE GUIDE
This SPEAKING REFERENCE is mainly focused for our pre-intermediate students, so they can have together and easy-to-reach lots of possible expressions they could need to use in different conversation contexts (those they know how and when to use but they often forget). I prepared it for my students to help them prepare their first term exam, and th...
