Students find the odd word out in a group of five and then have to explain on an abstract level why it doesn�t fit (not a farm animal, not a continent, the only plural word, not part of the leg, no means of transport etc). The real difficulty is NOT finding the odd one out but explaining why it was chosen. Two pages plus key.
