A file adapted from the last elections but it still worked very well. FIRST project the cartoon so that the pupils can say what they know and anticipate the activities that follow.

MATILDA Film Worksheet
A nice way to revise the present simple: likes/dislikes but als can/can�t and Have got for physical description. Start at the beginning of the film and end with the prinicpal throwing darts at photos of the pupils! I pause a lot and encourage them to say as much as they can. It�s quite surprising how much they know.

Australian open 2010
I started the lesson with an enlarged copy of the official advert using the over-head projector and then handed out these biographies. Each group chose one but no group was allowed to describe a player that another group had already described which led to a certain amont of improvisation which was the aim of the exercise.
