Hi! i am originally from Bulgaria, but I live and work in the USA. I have worked as an EFL Teacher in Bulgaria as a Elementary Substitute Teacher and as an Read Right Instructor in the USA. Currently I am working as an ELD Teacher in an elementary school, and as an Adjunct Instructor in Spokane Community College. Right now I teach K-3rd graders, newcomers, and adult English Language Learners.

Animal Alphabet Book A-G
I used this book in a newcomer level K group. We read the book chorally, discussed the animals, worked on the initial letter sound, and copied the sentence on the line next to it. I made similar books for the rest of the letters of the alphabet.

Food Groups Activity
I made this activity for an adult newcomer group, but it can be used with kids from 4th grade up. The students discuss what is in each food group, then cut out the pictures and glue them next to the words they illustrate.
