reading comprehension test
Here is a test I created some years ago. It offered another vision of Scotland than the Hollywood vision students are used to (Braveheart, Rob Roy...).
It was designed for French pupils therefore one matching exercise (ex3 on page 2)has to be reshaped in your pupils own language. I hope youll enjoy it.

The Beginning and the End by Anathema
I did this wonderful rock song for the pupils I took to Liverpool. Of course, we worked on The Beatles (and we visited The Beatles Story)but I wanted them to know about Anathema (another great band from there) and here is the song we worked on.

The Whale Rider extract 1
Working on New Zealand with my pupils, Ive decided to use some parts of the movie "The Whale Rider" in class. Here is the first extract I have chosen (the very beginning of the movie). The first exercise is a simple listening comprehension and the second one consists of questions about the scene. I hope it may be of some use to you.

cosmic dancer Billy Elliot
This song is the opening song from the movie "Billy Elliot". I decided to work on it after having studied the main scenes from the movie with my SS. It deals with the two preterites, I also added an easy exercise about phonetics. Hope youll find it useful.
