Gerunds or Infinitives? (American)
Knowing whether to use a gerund or an infinitive is NOT easy. Here is a worksheet to help students choose. I�ve added 2 EPS images to illustrate some of the vocabulary. I used the font Baskerville, which permits everything to appear on a single page.You may with to experiment with a different font. (The 25 examples are from American English.)

Odd Man Out

Perry Como - Delaware

What�s Better: Work or Prison?
With this rather funny comparison of working versus being in prison, have students work in pairs, each with either the Inmate or Worker worksheet. They take turns reading a line, and then they must decide which is more desirable, working or being in a prison and tick (or check) the appropriate box.

Fawlty Towers - Waldorf Salad Jumble
Give each pair of students a set of the strips, and ask them to construct a dialogue between a customer and a restaurant manager. Answer any questions about vocabulary.
